I always make it a principle to check the work of people when they have commented on my videos or tweets. More often than not these non-mainstream contributors, creatives and private people have more to offer than most.
So much of the “web”, “Social Media” and “digital” is simply designed to capture our time for advertising. The one real downside with the promoted advertising channels is the distorted reality. No camera review, lens review or service review is going to tell you the downsides proportional to the truth. This would be a death sentence to the channel.
Nor do these channels deal with actually using a technique for real. They show a technique to have content for a video rather than it being a genuine “experience sharing” process.
As each of us enjoy our artistic expression and refine our style and tools we need honest exposure to possibilities. Smaller channels are mostly expressing their owners current state, their experience and often their triumphs. This gives us a more helpful and constructive use of our time in exploring options for our own development.
I thought I would list some of the channels that have each given me something, sometimes subtle other times more significant. Nonetheless this select group are instrumental in influencing my artistic creativity.
As time goes on I will revise this list and will post it on the right along with my visit Munich guide.
