VIDEO: Travel #14 – Burghausen, Bavaria

Claimed to be the “Longest” castle complex in the WORLD!? I don’t know if this is true, but it is long as the last picture shows. WIKI: “Burghausen Castle in Burghausen, Upper Bavaria, is the longest castle complex in the world (1051 m) […] Guinness World Record […]”

It is actually a walled in collection of buildings perched on a long outcrop of rock. The entire stretch is actually an open road with the buildings being peoples private residences. At the end, where the doorways and last picture was taken is a museum. The actual castle complex however is mostly open to the public with no restriction. IF YOU VISIT PLEASE REMEMBER MANY OF THE HOUSES/BUILDINGS ARE PEOPLES PRIVATE HOMES…!

Every year there is a garden and building trade show that does close the complex and charge an entrance, so check if you are visiting.
